Why is the Technology team important to Beachbody?

Beachbody’s technology teams are leading the way for new opportunities in the digital realm, with the continued growth of the highly successful Beachbody On Demand streaming subscription service. We provide applications from consumer-facing eCommerce and high traffic CRM for our Coach network to data platforms and core enterprise applications which are at the heart of Beachbody's order processing and fulfillment engine.

 

What will you be doing at Beachbody as Director, Software Engineering (Digital Acquisition)

As a Director, Software Engineering of Beachbody's Acquisition Team, you will provide leadership to the team of software engineers who drive cutting-edge solutions to our expanding business needs. We need an individual that can lead this group in collaboration with partners to provide technical expertise, while understanding customer behaviors in order to create innovative solutions that deliver the strengths of Beachbody's products to customers. You will ALSO help define Beachbody's culture by participating in analysis, design and developing next gen solutions based upon the needs of our Acquisition Team and business partners.

 

  • Provide leadership to software engineering teams in order to deliver scalable and reusable features to increase revenue, customer acquisition and engagement, and monetization
  • Provide leadership to software engineering teams around with e2e responsibility from product estimation, to code completion, and release to production. This includes: test-driven development, accurate estimation and forecasting, product management, agile methodologies, metrics-driven management, and coaching software engineers at all levels
  • Partner with internal and external teams to ensure engineering competencies proficiently, operating independently for routine tasks
  • Collaborate with leaders across the organization to share solutions and best practices.

 

We’d love to chat if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 10+ years leading software engineering experience teams in design, development, and implementation of highly scalable, high-volume software systems and components, client-facing web applications, and major Internet-oriented applications and systems
  • Demonstrated agile delivery expertise with particular excellence in estimation and planning
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, and prioritization skills
  • Self-starter, self-motivated, and willing to take initiative
  • High interest in technology and continuous learning
  • Experience working with, managing and relying on external vendors
  • Ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability and desire to actively and confidently lead and communicate, with exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability and desire to be a problem solver in both leader and individual contributor roles
